Navy Leadership Training Program
The Culinary Arts - Stratford University, AAS
Experience Summary: Prior to co-founding Vantage Point Consulting, I worked for over 8 years with the US Navy helping to ready Seamen for their deployments in support of the Post 9/11 Global War on Terror . Vantage Point’s initial client engagements were near and dear to me as we focused on helping to improve Servicemember access to higher education and to increase Servicemember degree completion rates through customer relationship management (CRM) solutions and outsourced staffing solutions. Today we’ve expanded beyond this initial scope within higher education, government, and corporate industries, but our commitment to customer service and retention remains an important part of our DNA.
At Vantage Point, we believe a good idea is only meaningful if it results in improved results (increased student persistence, reductions in re-work and error rates, better deployment of resources on activities that add value to a customer). That is why we go beyond just making recommendations and get down in the trenches with our clients to help lead implementation of recommendations.
My Interests: I trained to be a professional chef but found I enjoyed cooking as a hobby more than as a career. After three years of working for large Washington, DC restaurants in catering and fine dining, I hung up the apron to have my daughter. Now, my daughter and I spend many memorable hours in our own kitchen creating gourmet meals for our family and friends.

Georgetown University McDonough School of Business, Master in Business Administration (MBA)
University of California at Berkeley, Bachelor of Arts in Political Economics; Selected as Class Commencement Speaker
Certification: Project Management Institute, Project Management Professional (PMP)
Experience Summary: I bring over 15 years professional management consulting and project leadership experience in the higher education, government, voluntary military education and commercial sectors. My core strengths, honed over dozens of engagements over the years, are in organizational strategic planning, customer process and experience improvement, change management, and project leadership. I co-founded Vantage Point Consulting in 2006 after working eight years for large management consulting firms because I wanted to provide a different kind of service to my clients.
I define service by personalization and commitment to help you achieve results. As a result, I’ve made the deepest impacts during my career serving as an extension of a client’s leadership team, helping them lead and execute their important initiatives. I have found that the most successful projects work by embedding one or two seasoned consultants that are strong business analysts, problem solvers, facilitators, and project managers. This creates a performance multiplier on teams, providing the additional focused bandwidth, know-how, organization, and momentum to expedite results. This focus and dedication is the service that Vantage Point brings to our clients.
My Interests: When I’m not working with our clients, I most enjoy my role as a dad and cheerleader for my two daughters. I also love training for long-distance races. Long trail runs clear my mind and help me recharge for my family and our clients.
Higher Education Solutions Partner
University of Washington, Bachelor of Arts, Business Administration
Experience Summary: I started my career at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), and have had the pleasure of leading transformational and strategic projects for clients across the Higher Education, Software, Wireless, and Finance industries. I was introduced to Christine and Jeff via a mutual friend and joined Vantage Point Consulting in 2010 because the company's philosophies resonated with my entrepreneurial spirit and drive to make a difference for both clients and consultants.
My Interests: Outside of work, I live an active lifestyle and enjoy running, golfing, hiking, playing the guitar, and searching for Washington DC’s next great eatery! I also enjoy spending time traveling and performing community service, and have had the opportunity to combine both passions during international volunteer excursions to Cambodia and Vietnam. As a Pacific Northwest native I’m an avid supporter of the University of Washington, Seattle sports teams, and the Portland Trailblazers.
Higher Education Industry Subject Matter Expert
Harvard University, Master's in Higher Education Administration
Colgate University, Bachelor of Arts, Phi Beta Kappa
Experience Summary: I've spent the majority of my career either in higher education or consulting in the field. I believe in the mission of higher education, as few organizations have the power to change a person's life as much as a college or university. I am energized by helping these institutions clarify their strategies, improve operational efficiencies, and create powerful new ways to deliver content and services.
My Interests: I am involved with my church and community, a husband, and a proud father. I am also a die hard Boston Red Sox fan... Go Sox!
